SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
Ibasso is pretty lousy in usb out, coax out though is pretty amazing. You may want to try that instead, but you are capped out at DSD64- Whitigir

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
Usb as digital sound is just so so. Coax and optical are more for dedicated sources. It is not just all about noises , but also the interfaces in itself as well. USB was designed to be a universal interface and not dedicatedly audio signals only. There are differences to be heard between all...- Whitigir

No, only 1AM2 does it!! I am just kidding , the Walkman auto refresh database each time you plug in usb and trigger MTP mode, regardless if you did or not added new files- Whitigir

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
As in internal wires ? That will bring upgraded performances to the 1A M2 very obviously. By using the same upgraded materials, the mod 1A will outperform a stock 1Z (Kimber isn’t all that good, but definitely better than stock OFC). Then 1Z will pull ahead once more if applying the same mod...- Whitigir

SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2
Having the M2 Z for a while now. I can say that the ability to have the music notes “pop” out of nothingness is the most amazing thing about the new Walkman M2. I have had many different setups, especially portable players. What places the high end away from mid tier nowadays is no longer the...- Whitigir

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
Soundstage is still a very subjective matters. Many years back, when I started out to achieving myself a pair of 800s, I started to think it was somewhat artificial as the soundstage didn’t seem like it was coming from a headphones. But over the blessed years where I had experienced different...- Whitigir

DX320 ROHM dac chips, Android 11, AMP11MK2s. *******NEW FW: 2.06*******
That is an interesting question, could be only for dx320 and not 300 ? 😂 who knows ? At least Ibasso is doing what I think they are doing, once again, leading the market. Non of the current flagship out there could implement Discrete buffers. I knew Ibasso could host them and put in so much...- Whitigir

The Official Sony TA-ZH1ES Hi-Res Headphone Amplifier (Live From IFA 2016)
I wouldn’t recommend using the TaZ that way, but that is all up to you. From between 110 and 220, there are differences in phases as well as voltages. The transformer inside the TAZ isn’t even meant to be interchangeable between 110-220V either, and not recommended by Sony. Why cares about...- Whitigir

Well, why go through all that troubles for battery ? Sony stuff has battery to last forever, even PlayStation controllers lol!! And my Zx2 still kicking after many years. Also Sony parts will always stay available until they drop the whole Walkman thing- Whitigir

I use all kind of chargers with Walkman, I don’t see any issues at all, slow or fast. If one do care about battery longevity, the noises from a charger can degrade the battery. But all Of the chargers are only about safety, speed and power, non of them cares about power ripples and noises …. Lol- Whitigir
