    Thank you for replying.  My iPhone 5S, 6S used to work with Hugo.  After the recent update, now both won't work with the Hugo.    

Often hear that commented by people.   It works for me not in transit but at stops, hotels and lodges.

  Yes, it is a DSD recorder/player from Sony, the PCM-D100. It sounds better as a standalone source than as a transport with Hugo or Hugo TT.
