Earbuds Round-Up
Thank you! I’ll take a look at it! It’s this one you refer to I take or are there different versions with different cables? I doubt listing as it says original price over 600 EUR… https://m.nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005003535186948.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2nld- Spie1904

Audio Recommendations for Classical
I think this is very fair criticism. To be honest I listen to a lot of genres and hardly get to use open backs and my main closed back is the Focal Stellia which I personally also enjoy for classical music but there are certainly better options out there if you want to optimise probably. For...- Spie1904

What is the best audio system in the world, in the scale S.Q. /price ratio ?
Just pure value and max use cases? AKG k371? I can use it anywhere and I don’t need a portable dac / amp.- Spie1904

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
Also curious to see opinions on this but I think likely it’s a question of usability. SQ is likely better on the Meze. Comfort also better on Meze I guess. However they aren’t wireless and don’t offer the same use cases. Going for a walk with the Meze is not going to be exactly practical...- Spie1904

Closed back headphones - IEM no longer possible for me!
Ideally want to keep it below 2000 EUR. Anything above I would want it to work for pretty much every use case I’d end up using it for, being: - While I work (home or in the office) - When I play some chill games and want to listen to music on my pc. - Late night sessions in bed Only for...- Spie1904

Closed back headphones - IEM no longer possible for me!
Hi all, Due to circumstances (lots of ear wax production, very oddly shaped ear canals and the combination of both leading to problems in terms of fit but also clogging up my ear), I have been recommended to stop using IEM and shift towards using headphones. Therefore I’m looking to get a...- Spie1904

The Bullet/Cable-Down IEM Database (140+ Update!)
Out of curiosity what have you found to be the best for tiny ear canals that handles classical music and film scores well? I mostly listen to classical, piano, jazz, blues, indie, rock, heavy metal and very rarely some RnB and EDM! Anyone got a recommendation for a good all rounder with...- Spie1904

CIEM Material?
To add to this, I think this also depends on the individual. For some people the ear canal changes shape more than for others when opening the mouth. Also I think you can discuss this with most ciem manufacturers as sometimes they decide on closed Vs with bite block impression to counter this.- Spie1904

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
For what it’s worth, I also listen to rock / metal and I find the ie900 fine for it. What I listen to is In flames, Trivium, etc… My headphone of choice is the ZMF Verite Closed. I think what’s vital is that you’ll get a good fit so take the time to find the right angle and tips if you...- Spie1904

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk
I am not sure if this is true but I feel like most people who are struggling with the silicone stock tips are jamming the IEM in with a twisting motion or shoving them in too deep. I open my ear canal up by pulling on my ear and drop them in the right spot where they aren’t compressed yet and...- Spie1904

I could be wrong but I believe he is talking about the cable. Putting a heavy cable on the IE900 made it impossible to walk around with them. If he takes the ie300 and puts on a heavy cable, it will be potentially as bad or even worse (if they are lighter, not sure if they are but I guess so as...- Spie1904

I don’t have the m9 and I cannot complain about the slam of the IE900 but in terms of quantity the technics Tz700 beat them. However in terms of quantity I’d go for the IE900.- Spie1904

This is also a great tip! I also do this and it prevents the mistake I made when I first got mine. I always tried to align them as the promo pictures did (logo perfectly aligned) but I actually need it to sit more angled and this trick helps with that!- Spie1904

Something I found that also helps with my ear canal at least (mainly for the silicone tips), is pulling your ear lobe before insertion so that you don’t squish the tips too early - breaking a seal before it’s actually inserted. I think this helps because of how squishy the tips are. Edit: the...- Spie1904

Just sharing my experience as I find many people struggle with silicone tips to get a seal! I was one of you and I prefer silicone over foam generally. After having tried every size in position 2, which I’d call the default of every IEM, I figured why not give that unorthodox position 1 a go...- Spie1904

Anyone here who can compare the size to a shure se846? Are they wider? Are they more bulky (in terms of thickness like se846 are thicker / larger than se215 for example in terms of profile)?- Spie1904

How do Shure SE530 stack up today
High end expensive brands that come to mind are: Audio64 (u12t, etc) Sony (m9, IER-Z1R) ThieAudio (Monarch, etc) Unique Melody Vision Ears Empire Ears And many more :) Maybe check out crinacle IEM tier list. It’s definitely subjective but will get you some ideas?- Spie1904
