The Stax Thread III
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement volume pot for this unit? (SRM-1/MK2) Or if anyone has encountered a similar issue before (stuck volume pot).- Mheat122134

The Stax Thread III
Sorry for asking again but I’d like to know soon. Looking to get an older amp (pre 2000) from Japan but many sellers do not include the power cable, would any home appliance cable be fine?- Mheat122134

Speaker amps for headphones
Thanks for the response. Though if I can ensure the chain is grounded would such a device pose no other inherent risk? I've been thinking of connecting my Beyerdynamic T1's to a 10W 4/8ohm tube amp, though admittedly I have not done something like this before and don't have the knowledge.- Mheat122134

Headphones for Bright Vocals/Jpop/Anime Songs
It's been a while since I've heard the HD650s, but all I remember was that the sound did not interest me. I don't recall them being bad, just boring for my tastes. As for HD 600s, I've read that the HE400i's are awfully similar, is this the case in your opinion?- Mheat122134

Looking for a portable closed headphone under $200 (CAD)
Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from my pair of V-Moda M80s. Looking for something somewhat portable, currently eyeing the AKG K550s but will be open to something under $200 (CAD) ($150 USD) used or new, may consider getting a portable amp if the headphone requires it. I mainly listen to pop and a...- Mheat122134

Headphone wire broken/loose?
Hi, I own a pair of V-Moda M-80s and apparently the left side only works when I bend the headphone cable 45 degrees. I have tried 2 V-Moda cables and they are the same. Is there a fix for this? Is the headphone wire broken or is it the cables' problem?- Mheat122134

WORST headphone you ever heard?
I tried some fake Beats Tours. Worst headphones ever, no bass at all the mids and highs sounded awfully distorted.- Mheat122134

Looking to buy new noise cancelling headphones for around $100.
Quote: Grados are ideal for rock, but might not be the best for Dubstep/Techno/Classical not to mention they're open. The M50s are more suited for stuff like Pop/Dubstep. The mids are slightly reccessed on them. I'm not sure how they would work with rock, but definitely not classical.- Mheat122134

Looking to buy new noise cancelling headphones for around $100.
Quote: The M-80's have punchy bass, great mids/vocals and decent highs. They can be found here for $120ish if you don't mind used. Other headphones you might want to look at are Shure SRH-440, Audio Technica ATH-M50 or Grados, depending on what type of music you listen to.- Mheat122134
