Altiat CAL.1H — Official Discussion & Impressions Thread
Don't get me wrong, MDR Z1R is a great closed back, which scales up significantly with amplification despite being loud when driven by a moblie device. However, i preferred the Cal 1h when driven by the Lotoo Paw 6k DAP. The Z1R performed slightly preferable to me when driven by a desktop RME...- xEcuToR

Altiat CAL.1H — Official Discussion & Impressions Thread
I have the Altiat Caliber 1H with me for almost 14 months now. Its my go to headphone for portable listening with the Lotoo PAW 6K via the pentaconn balanced cables. Its a nifty portable setup, like a semi desktop listening station on the go, around the house. Recently I have started listening...- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
353x drives the RR1 pretty well. It is adequate for RR1s needs. With that said, if you can go the extra mile, a KGSS/HV amp is always beneficial to pro bias ESTAT headphones from my experience and the additional power really unleashes the full potential of these headphones.- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
Have not heard SR1 so can't comment on it. But in terms of detail and highs, I personally felt it was in the level of stock Stax sr007 mk2. I have been using the KGSSHV and ADI 2 DAC. More power is beneficial for the RR1 in my experience, as it opens up and gives out a very relaxing sound with...- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
With a decent amp like the 353x or better 717 or even a KGSS/HV the RR1 does much better than a L500 and performs almost as good if not better than a 007 MK2 in detail and clarity.- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
As a headphone RR1 sounds more like a high end planar with better highs. In brief it delivers clean yet punchy bass notes with a lot of air and at the same time maintains a nice transition to the mids. However it needs EQ'ing to sound just right for my own preference when it comes to highs...- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
About the Comparison with L300 limited edition. There is a headfier based out of Bengaluru who sold his L300 limited edition and currently uses the RR1 along side a 009. I prefer the RR1 to the L500, that much I can say from personal preference. For L300 and limited edition I think he should...- xEcuToR

Comment by 'xEcuToR' in item 'Meze Audio Empyrean'
Nice review. I have been A-B ING the Empyreans' with the 007 MK1 & Mk2s for the last few days and even my second favorite Stax the MK2 is outclassing the Empyrean on every parameter. In recordings with warm tonality, the Empyrean does pretty well, keeps up with the Mk2s but overall they fall...- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
Well, I used to have the SR-407. It was my first electrostat experience, so I have to speak from memory. All I can say is Soundstage of Lamdas feel like they are a bit taller vertically and wider depending upon how one positions them. Also, I had used a Spritzer Mod SRM 1 MK2 to drive it not the...- xEcuToR

Kaldas Research RR 1 Conquest ($500 Electrostatic)
Initially, I started listening with a Woo GES along with a MBA. Right off the bat I was able make out that the headphone has good potential, although it was not being driven properly. Then I started using the KGSSHV along with a Questyle QP1R and started understanding the characteristics of...- xEcuToR

I was able to visit MrTechAgent for a brief demo of the RR1 Conquest. Did a listening session of 2-3 hrs with the proto-type and was able to do a 1v1 comparison with 007 MK1 and MK2.- xEcuToR

Reply to review by 'xecutor' on item 'Sennheiser HD 250 Linear II'
As mentioned in the review the 250II share similar design pattern ofHD 250L/520/530/540/560. If you can get spare parts for the above or buy an used unit of 530 or 520 which will be cheap if not cheaper than the actual spare part price.- xEcuToR

I have talked about in a different forum some where, so I'll just list out the core points. Currently it is the best pair of IEM’s I have in terms of Bass, Mids, Imaging, overall it possesses an intoxicating sound. It has an intimate/emotional presentation. To me the sound signature is...- xEcuToR
