I use DMP-Z1 to drive MDR-Z1R & UTOPIA (all in 4.4 balanced line), feeling satisfied with the sound quality and 12 o'clock position is usually the max for me.

Agree. It's a tiny niche market. However, what can the producers do? Innovation never ends and better products are developed to benefits the tiny group of audiophiles. For me, R8 means portable for men only... too big to take it...

She wants to make a call but she couldn't. I studied the all official specs and descriptions, R8 can only use the 4G sim card for data flow, not voice call & sms. What a pity!

Man, Hiby released the "official leather COVER" 3 days ago in China. Remember it's "Official Leather Cover" of R8. No any news on R8 yet. It seems Hiby is playing the marketing game following the Apple G1 way back into 12 years ago. I hope the final quality would let me down.
