CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
Or just replace for around €50,- of capacitors (see reactcore's thread: https://www.head-fi.org/posts/17425418/) Even if you wire correctly the load can be too much, as was my experience.- esmit

CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
To me, as the owner of Reactcore s external optical solution, between mscaler and TT2, it really does not sound more aggressive or harsher. It sounds more resolving and balanced, better soundstaging. Compared to Wave Storm. I do believe Reactcore and MvRie when they say the power modified Dave...- esmit

My Choral housed Chord Mscaler
I finally got round to some critical listening, and I am very impressed. Not yet, but I do think it has never sounded better on several aspects: Stereo imaging and the perception of the venue the recording was taken. Detail seems higher. Better definition. Voices can be understood better, bass...- esmit

Watts Up...?
How about running the speakers from RCA and use the XLR for speaker level input on the sub? -
Watts Up...?
I might be mistaken but when your speakers are difficult to drive/have an impedance under 5;ohms or so, RCA is preferable to using XLR? Maybe I should refrase. I would love to take my amp out of the equasion. My Dynaudio Heritage Specials are not the easiest to drive, but still it would be... -
Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I am sure MVRBE10 preferred Dave/Farad above Dave/Farad/HMS even with Wave Reference BNC cables (as I bought his Wave cables). I listened only very shortly to his system and still I was very afraid his system would lead me to buy Dave + Farad.... Goose bumps when listening, wow.- esmit

Or maybe the manual is wrong, but if I feed 48 / 24 bit through my src.dx, single bnc to hms, tt2 shows 786- esmit

The manual is correct, single bnc input for mscaler works up to 352, only if fed 705 or higher you would need 2x bnc between src.dx and mscaler. But mscaler will not scale up that rate, of course. Output from mscaler is always possible up to 705/786.- esmit

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
And yes, I sadly missed the do not use XLR under 16 ohms, so it was really my own fault, the speakers get down to 5 amps somewhere in the curve. Maybe on the unbalanced output.... With the right adapters... No, not risking that anymore.- esmit

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Might be, it was not instantaneous though, but the cheap Amazon adapters were badly soldered at the speaker end so sound was interrupted a few times and the quick succession of load-no load-load was too much I guess. Volume was low, about as much as 8 o clock on my 34W primaluna. But still, I...- esmit

I had to get my tt2 repaired after connecting it directly to Dynaudio Heritage Specials. I guess it was the cheap Amazon xlr to speaker cables but I would not advise you to try this.- esmit

I was just curious what my primaluna dialog integrated tube amplifier was adding and subtracting. Knowing the possibly analytical highly resolving nature of the tt2 might help me decide to stick to the colouring combination of heritage special and tube amp or explore eigentakt stuff or...- esmit
