Maybe Peachtree decco/nova? Anyway I think that it's better to get: - DAC/HP AMP + Active speakers - DAC/HP AMP + Speaker AMP + passive speakers You get two boxes but a lot more choices.

If there's no big difference in SQ than i would buy xonar. It's more practical (games, movies) and in future (I'm planning to upgrade setup in 2 years) I would use it as a transport (via optical) to better DAC like Havana. I think that for now any better dac will be an overkill for Canamp and...

Hi mates, same problem here I'm looking for amp to drive my K701 and I'm sick of it. Everybody say they're so demanding and tricky so I can't buy any amp i want. I've to listen to it before buying which is almost impossible (most of amps which I'm interested in aren't avaible in local stores)...

Hi, I was ready to buy STX as a DAC last but I've heard a lot opinions that stand alone dac would be better source. HP amp in STX is not my point because I'm going to use external amp with my k701. STX in my country is 250$ (local pickup) so is there a better stand alone DAC in this price...

I see that You are using STX as a source with good amp and headphones. Did You compared it to stand alone dac using this setup?

Ok, so I'm chosing between DT880 and K701. I though also about Grado 225/325, but i don't know if they're good at jazz, classical and acoustic which i listen to a lot. What do You think? Oh, and do You think that K701/DT880 pluged directly to STX will sound good? Maybe they are too good for...
