I realize this isn't the replace battery thread, however some of you have done so. My new battery has 3 leads, black/red/yellow. The original battery is just soldered into TP1 & TP2. Any tips on which one gets what color lead?

I've officially as of today gone totally digital. I had a local record shop owner come over yesterday and cart off 1800 or so Albums, CD's, DVDs & BluRays and my B&O turntable for some cash. Scary that all my music history resides on FIIO X5, with obviously hard drive backups.

I've been formatted with NTFS for most of the time I've had the X5 without issue. AFAIK it isn't supposed to work with Android, but it does. I wonder if going to exFat would do anything but cause me grief.

Thanks for the update. Works great. I can finally dispense with FIIO music and its random weirdness. Still can't get over the issues that they won't or can't fix with that app.

Kernelmods website is great, just wish that black backgrounds offered a toggle to white option for people like me who can't stare at the black for very long. I've tried some plug ins for my browser but they don't work very well. Can't wait for the additional magic of version 4.

Does the speed setting effect battery life in any way?

Funny about Album art. Poweramp is the first player that shows everyone of my albums without issue. Foobar, FIIO and assorted others always choked on some.

OK, tested it with FIIO player, seems to be a PowerAmp only problem with balanced output. Regular output seems fine. I can't seem to find a player that does everything I need without glitches. PowerAmp was a winner for me except for this. Probably just switch to non balanced cable.

Can't recall if this just started with this version as I might not have been using balanced IEM's recently. Loud crackle/pop sound on pause button using PowerAmp with 3.31 mid speed kernel and balanced output.

Updated just now and for some reason it shows 3.2 kernal optimization message. Also in setting it shows me "Tue May 28 13:29:52 BST 2019". I know I did the update because I selected the auto load to Power Amp for the first time I've used that and that worked fine, so what could have gone wrong...

Line in to my car uses the cars DAC, even though it is processed already by the FIIO. Bluetooth in my set up avoids the car DAC entirely. I have an after market amp & digital processor that handle that chore. I could wire the FIIO to go into that device, which I may eventually do.
