Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
I recently picked up the Techincs AZ270W and have been very impressed about how good they sound. I use them with the Wavelet app EQ setting and they sound excellent. They are noticeably better than the Galaxy buds, which I have owned for a while. Previously the best wirelss set up I had was the...- Isloo

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread
They are fantastic iem’s. I have been listening to mine wirelessly with the BT20S pro and Wavelet app and it is an excellent set up. they give me everything I want, sound wise. I tried them wired, but they sounded so good wireless, that I have used wires again. I am also a huge fan of the Blon-03- Isloo

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
What’s the sound like with the BT20s Pro? I have a couple of the BT20s and thinking about getting the Pro, if there is any sound improvement. Are there any benefits sound wise? Thanks.- Isloo

MEE Audio Pinnacle P1 - $199 Dynamic Driver Flagship *Reviews 2nd Post*
I use mine exclusively with the TRN BT20s bluetooth adapters. and they sound great. The BT20s have enough power, just about. To me they sound as good wireless as they do wired. There is really good synergy between the P1's and the BT20s. I prefer them to the Samsung Galaxy Buds, which are good...- Isloo

TRI earphone impressions - I4 and I3, Starlight, NEW Starsea
@Krassi - Do you prefer these to the P1 even after eq'ing with the PDV2? Also, do these sound good from the 9038s? I am thinking of picking up a pair. Thanks.- Isloo

Tin Hifi P1 impressions
I agree 100%. It has taken me a couple of months to get the right eq setting with the PDV2. The preset in the app is a good starting point, but it needs refinement and improvement. However, once you get the right eq setting, the P1s really excel. This also applies to the 9038s. If you use an app...- Isloo

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
I would imagine so, but I haven't heard other devices with this dac so can't confirm. Things like dsp could change the sound of the same chip? I doubt better snapdragon processors will result in audibly better sound. Once a dac is audibly transparent it is "transparent"? Even if another dac has...- Isloo

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
If I have understood your question correctly, the Hi-Res certification is for the DAC (Snapdragon) in the phone itself. I think it will play up to 24/192. However, I wouldn't get too caught up in the Hi-Res certification marketing. I have the Oppo A5 2020 and think it is really good for music...- Isloo

E1DA DACs Discussion Thread (PDV2, 9038S, 9038D, 9038X, HiFiToy, HPToy)
It has been a steep learning curve for me as well, as previously I never eq'd at all. I find the "Loudness Dry/Wet" slider to be really useful- Isloo

Android resampling
Thank you @bigshot and @castleofargh. I haven't been able to detect any difference between Andriod resampling and bit perfect playback. Therefore, in my case, I don't think it is something I need to worry about.- Isloo

Android resampling
Thank you for the reply. You use the words "probably isn't resampling". Does this mean there could be an audible difference caused by resampling? The reason I ask is, I regularly read people extolling the virtues of bit perfect play back. I just wanted to understand if there is any merit in...- Isloo

After reading a few of the threads on this forum, I have a better sense of the lack of information/knowledge exhibited in some parts of Head-fi. I always had a sense that there was a lot of BS going on, simply from my own experience with audio gear rather than from any knowledge I had. However...- Isloo

Sound science of dac
For someone trying to get a basic understanding of the science behind audio gear, this is really interesting, and from what I have read so far, not entirely surprising. So there is literally no point in paying any attention to the measurements provided by manufacturers, as if there are any...- Isloo

24bit vs 16bit, the myth exploded!
@gregorio - Great thread! I only ever dabbled in HiRes a few years ago. However, I couldn't tell the difference between HiRes and CD quality, so gave up on it. To be honest, I can't tell the difference between 320 Mp3 or 256 AAC and red book, so I save the space. It's really interesting to learn...- Isloo

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
Which ever dac it uses, it sounds good. It doesn’t have much power, so it’s no good for harder to drive headphones or iems, but otherwise with reasonably sensitive iems the sound quality is good.- Isloo

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
I highly recommend trying the PDV2 dac from E1DA. It is a fantastic Dac/Amp that brings the best out of the Z7's. The Dac has an accompanying app called HPToy that allows you use a PEQ in graph form to mould the sound. I downloaded the graph measurements from Oratory1990, set the Oratory graph...- Isloo

This looks like the Fiio CL06 to me. I have it stuck to my phone with the 9038s in exactly the same way. However, the CL06 is usb micro to usb c. You could always get a straight adapter usb c to add at the usb micro end?- Isloo

E1DA DACs Discussion Thread (PDV2, 9038S, 9038D, 9038X, HiFiToy, HPToy)
E1DA is the name of the company. Two models are currently being produced, the 9038s and the PDV2. @Krassi may be able to tell you if the PDV2 works with the R3. However, even if it does work I can't imagine it will last more than a couple of hours before the battery is drained. PDV2 needs a lot...- Isloo

E1DA DACs Discussion Thread (PDV2, 9038S, 9038D, 9038X, HiFiToy, HPToy)
I am surprised how relatively quiet this thread is. In my view, both the PDV2 and the 9038s are genuine "game changers" for portable audio. I have not touched any of my daps since I got both the 9038 and PDV2. Why listen to a dap when I can listen to one of these instead? The 9038s is the...- Isloo

BGVP discussion thread DM7/ DM6/DMG and NEW BA series
I have both as well and would choose the DM6 without thinking about it. There is something about the FH5 that makes them difficult to get to sound right. The short nozzle is a real problem for my ear shape. Having said that, others love the FH5 and on occasions I have thought that they sound...- Isloo
