If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

To me the question will be the other way around, honestly, if there is any IEM that sound like a full-size headphone, if it exists?....but what do I know? I'm now torturing myself listening to the ER-3SE and trying to make amends to what I'm missing from the Fostex full size, to see if at the...

The earbud do not fit my anatomy very well I have a fitting issue with them that is why I got into iem that go deeper into the ear channel, I never expected anything serious out of them till I got my hands on the Klipsch...with the same issue for me on the highs...I always wanted to try the etys...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

One thing I had learn along this travel in time and sound, in all these years is that there is no such a thing as one size fits all. I do not care a little bit if the headphone is flat or not, if I like the sound, I like it, if not, I pass....and so far it seems that I have known a few people...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Let's agree to disagree...I still have to hear yet an IEM that come close to my Fostex in any area...the ER3SE is a joke in comparison...but different persons have different hearing, different tastes and at the end nobody knows how the recording is supposed to sound like...unless you made it...

It seems that then the 4B should be the way to go in my case...while I was browsing the Ety page for info and even while I ask on the chat they have I was given the wrong info about the driver just being not matched the same way and different tuning...it seems that is more to this that for some...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Unfortunately not, but if one day found one cheap, or maybe someone willing to let me try one I will, but I will not spend more money on IEMs...the ER3s if I read correctly I believe use same armatures as the er4 , just not match so close and maybe different tuning...maybe I'm wrong, but how...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

My very personal opinion, and I still own, and need IEM for isolation and traveling purposes, and office use, is that none of the ones I have tried, and even I tried one prototype multidriver in one of the Head-Fi meetings a long time ago, that at the time costed over a thousand dollars, and...

    My Headphone Stand

I do not own the Ultrasone's anymore, the disc you see there is not there anymore, now changed my headphones to the Fostex, so the logo was changed as well in the actual version...I'm not in the market for this, just showing something different, now I included a round enclosure on the top...

Best Aftermarket Cable for the Sennheiser HD 650

Is there anything wrong with the stock? I got the stock from them every time I need to replace cables, for me or firends, they are very good. Sorry to break the news to you, but if you hear any difference is in your imagination, instead of changing the cable try improving the source, amp, or...

What is the advantages of a class A headphone amp ?

You will never hear the differences...I had both, and even an amp with both options, and nobody I know off, was able to hear any difference...if power is not a restriction, I will run it class A, but it will not keep me awake if I have to live with AB my whole life....

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution

Like closed or open back...??? open back for metal in my book is a waste of time...you will bother all people around you and will loose the essence, privacy in all headphone listening, in my book that is the only reason for headphone listening, otherwise use speakers...I got my sound with the...

Pleather or Leather earpads? (Durability and permeability/cleanliness) -- Protein leather?

Man what can I say, I owned CD-3K for years, and never need to change any pad, and I say years....almost a decade after they were discontinued....never....Those flaked must be really abused, and neglected. As a comparison, I had to replace though, a felt pad on my HD-600 after washing them, in...

Pleather or Leather earpads? (Durability and permeability/cleanliness) -- Protein leather?

The pleather is a lot more repellent to water than leather, indeed I would say it will be 100% waterproof, and will hold water completely, of curse we have the seams so it will not be a perfect sealed pad....

    Denon AH-7200

Treble peak problem? Really, let me listen the them again, as I own the three TH-X00 and they sound excellent to me...I would like them to go even a little further on the highs... I doubt that Denon will develop anything better, let's see, they are more into outsourcing, that really developing....

    What happened to Grado?

I think that after having heard quite a few from them, I do believe that they belong in the past, design included. I never liked them, never will, and they never developed a closed back headphone, that IMHO is the main reason for the headphones to exist, isolation....the best so far are the...

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

Well I think that you missed the DT-880...some of these listed there, are not hi-end headphones, so I can not comment on them, as I have zero experience with them, but the TH-X00, not of the three versions, are bass monsters, indeed I feel them very accurate, articulated and refined in the bass...

Pleather or Leather earpads? (Durability and permeability/cleanliness) -- Protein leather?

IMO and IME pleather tend to be more "user friendly", coming form CD3000, and owing the Edition 9 for years, I can tell you that literally pleather can last as long as leather, on top tends to be more temperature easier, (at least the CD3K and the Foster are) and at the end they are cheaper to...

The Better Headphone for EDM... Denon D5000 or Denon D7000?

I listen mainly clasic rock, heavy metal and fussion, jazz, etc...not sure but I feel that for some genres of heavy metal you may need more demanding heaphones, as the rhythm is faster, and a lot more congested, and the editions do that in spades!!!!

The Better Headphone for EDM... Denon D5000 or Denon D7000?

It is completely different from the rest of the Ultrasone line, I have owned several of them, as a side note, and have heard mainly all of them, let's say that you unveil a monster, removing a thick courtain from the sound, making it incredibly more detailed and rich, and in your face, you have...
