ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed
Thanks for the measurements! I think that makes them not the perfect "additional" headphone. But in general I might keep them in mind and if only I could try them here in Germany somehow I might end up buying them at some point but like this it's too risky to just order them ... Plus there is...- DrSeven

ZMF Blackwood VS Mrspeakers Aeon Flow Closed
I'm mainly using a chord Hugo2 and a Colorfly C4. Budget I'd say around 1k as I only want them as a secondary pair of cans for mainly on my balcony ( hence also the closed nature I'm looking for)- DrSeven

Thanks that's some awesome impressions. I forgot to add: I mainly listen to Pop, Rock and heavy Metal. And vocals + guitars are the things I am most focused on when listening Edit sounds like they would complement each other quite good!- DrSeven

I'm looking for some good closed back cans to use for relaxied listening and whilst on my balkony. Looking for something warm LCD2-, Fidelio-ish, but closed. Had the Audeze LCD XC for a while now but they are too expensive imo. Been hinking about Nighthawk, MEZE 99 C, MrSpeakers Aeon, Shure...- DrSeven

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
Id recommend saving up for the clear then ;) but maybe give the Denon AH-D7200 a try. It's similar to the 2c sound signature and extremely low weight BUT it's not nearly as good as the 2c so don't even consider it if it's not sub 500$- DrSeven

I'm sorry for the hold up on the comparison between the LCD2C and the other cans but I had a Clear driver fail on me yesterday ( some bass rattle on the right driver). So I'll need to have that replaced first :/- DrSeven

The Aune amp isnt as bad as some people claim especially compared to the 2k Sony. And the LCD2 C doesn't need that much power anyways. But that doesn't matter much if it's not available for you :frowning2: I heard a LOT of good stuff about the RME Adi dac and that's only 1k for dac and amp! So...- DrSeven

over the next months I'm going to get rid of most my stuff except for 2,3 headphones and the matching source because I can't use that many and I will end up buying and trying more headphones sooner or later anyways. I tested the Denon with a musician buddy of mine and two other music...- DrSeven

Depends on your budget. I think the Aune S16 was a pretty good match and is incredible value but my favorite pairing was with the Hugo2- DrSeven

Has anyone a done a A/B comparison of the LCD 2C and the LCD X? I'm currently comparing the Focal Clear, T1 and the lcd2C and I think the lCD2 C is unbelievable for it's money and beats the T1 in all but naturalness and soundstage but the clear ( in all fairness while being lots more expensive)...- DrSeven

500€ - 2000€ Amp or Dac/Amp combo recommendations
50% of the people I've asked recommend the adi and the other 50% the hugo.. so I guess it's a matter of taste:deadhorse::disappointed_relieved:- DrSeven

500€ - 2000€ Amp or Dac/Amp combo recommendations
I currently have an Aune S16 and Colorfly C4. Ordered the Sony TA-ZH1ES but tbh I cant notice much difference to the S16. Going to do some more blind testing later but I think its waaaaay overpriced and not worth keeping. So I'm looking to some of these to either add as an amp to the S16...- DrSeven
