Review by 'DeltaAudio' on item 'QKZ X HBB Khan'

QKZ is a company KNOWN for imitating brands like KZ, copying their iems and selling their own ripoff version. They have been doing this for years now. The QKZ x HBB Khan seems to be nothing more than a Crinacle Truthear Zero copy. The HBB Khan has the same huge nozzle, nozzle mesh, the same...

I just conducted an experiment: Using the TRN V90S, a six-driver hybrid iem, i wanted to see if disconnecting the drivers would result in an actual decrease in something like the treble or bass. I started with the BA furthest from the nozzle, after unsoldering one of the contacts and...

interesting feedback, I didn't know that if you start unsoldering the drivers the frequency graph is not supposed to change. i will conduct experiments to learn more. thanks 👍

My DQ6s copy is not defective. This is the intended sound signature tuned by HBB. My unit has consistent frequency matching and it also coincides with the frequency response graphs of other fellow reviewers. My measurements were of course taken before I opened my unit incase you were wondering.

Nice pics, are you trying to say that my evidence is invalid because your specific unit has the hole? my left unit has a (clogged with resin) hole that goes all the way to the DD. i guess that means these are legit after all.

incase you need some more evidence that some of the drivers in the DQ6/DQ6S are fake: The little sound tube going from the smaller drivers to the nozzle is closed off on some pairs of DQ6. My friends keep telling me that their pair's sound tube appears blocked off, one of my friends doesn't...

Review by 'DeltaAudio' on item 'Whizzer Kylin HE01'

Disclaimer: I was sent the HE01 from Whizzer for the purpose of review. All opinions are my own. I have no affiliation with the brand or company. The Whizzer HE01 arrive in a rather substantial packaging, priced at $80, there is a heft and a feeling of quality, maybe it's just the hi-res...

    KB EAR Audio impressions thread

After my first unit had some channel imbalance, KBEAR reached out and sent a me replacement at no cost and there is now much improved channel balancing That's a reference sound signature for cheap, it graphs something like an etymotic.

my pair has some considerable channel imbalance unfortunately, but soundwise i think they are good (measurements using IEC711 compliant microphone)

My honest review of the BGVP NS9 is now live. you can read it here: https://www.androidbrick.com/bgvp-ns9-review-bgvps-frankenstein/amp/ and here: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/bgvp-ns9.25102/reviews i wish the sound was as impressive as the hardware.

ah i see, i dont have any spiral dot tips or any sort of balanced audio hardware sadly, but i do agree with you that the highs (those upper mids) need more energy

lg v30+, neutron player, flacs the NS9 do NOT need an amp at all, they are very sensitive earphones.

BGVP discussion thread DM7/ DM6/DMG and NEW BA series

i do not believe my pair to be poor quality control, my measurements match other fellow reviewers measurements and my impressions also match theirs. i would absolutely not consider the ns9 "very upfront" sounding, I really don't know how you possibly got that impression. but maybe i can learn...

here is the link to the NS9 teardown https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=238757881330725&id=100055895433879 the NS9 has seriously seriously impressive hardware for the price

BGVP discussion thread DM7/ DM6/DMG and NEW BA series

the upper mids are squashed, flattened, as you see on the graph. i have never seen or heard such an unusual choice of tuning. you constantly feel as though parts of the music are too quiet with the NS9, and so you increase the volume alot to compensate for the upper mids, making the bass loud in...

I got my NS9 recently, i bought one during the march sales. I'm more impressed with the hardware than the actual sound they produce. i posted the full teardown to my facebook if anyone would like to see that as for the sound, they have a "unique" frequency response to say the least and all...
