Also, make sure you're in low gain when using iems with the Jot. High gain will definitely cause some hiss.

I think the issue is with Tidal, not the M11. I have the same problem on my cell phone (LG V40).

Would the ifi hip-dac be a better solution for iems?

Just out of curiosity, how are you feeding the XLR signal to both the Jot1 and Jot2? Are you using an XLR splitter or switch?

Pretty substantial price jump over the original M-200. Also, I'm surprised that these don't support LDAC. Are there any plans to add this later, via firmware update?

Have you tried resetting it (using the small pinhole on the side of the device)? This seems to clear up issues for some users.

For some strange reason, the mobile Tidal app is unable to provide full MQA. The only way to get full MQA on a mobile device is through the UAPP app (with the MQA add-on).

I believe the latest Hifiman cables use 3.5mm connectors at the headphone end. The E-MU uses 2.5mm connectors. I used a cable intended for a Sennheiser HD700, and it works perfectly.

This is definitely a Tidal issue. I've had the same thing happen to me several times on my cell phone (LG V40). The occurrences were very sporadic. Some days, I got the error message, while on other days, the tracks played normally. Eventually, I got so fed up that I contacted Tidal support...

Interesting. I'm currently using a Modi Multibit with my Jotunheim. I was planning on upgrading to the Bifrost 2 at some point, but the Modius seems like a much more affordable alternative.

How does the detail retrieval of the Modius compare to that of the Modi Multibit?
