...and an older “first impression“ to follow up on… I listened to the IER-Z1R in Japan in 2018 and loved it, and after giving up on the ProMission X I gave in to a good deal on the Z1R :ksc75smile: Should arrive in a couple of days which will be filled with prayers that they fit my tricky ears!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Very interesting that you heard the PMX as V-shaped, I thought it had a slightly colorful-lively but quite neutral tuning. Maybe I should look more into V-shaped IEMs :ksc75smile: PMX had a more exciting presentation than the PP8, but it also sounded much more...

...And maybe it is just too similar to the M9 to feel like a big upgrade? The other reason why I spent little time with them was the Inear ProMission X (PMX) which the dealer recommended at that price level. Best fit I have ever had with a universal IEM, the shell is big but perfectly fits into...
