this is a french singer-songwriter known for being very-very picky when it comes to recordings
plus, it's a recent recording, from 2014...
just re-compared my 250-250 to my Q701 (bass port mod + foam tweak)
Q701's soundstage is so unique... although a few people claim it sounds...
current leaders? who can improve neutrality?
anyway, if you compare speakers (flatness) with headphones (neutrality), the HP's FR could in...
the 250-250 has neither strong nor weak sub-bass, mid-bass, or what else..
it is neutral
not the "most" neutral (that wouldn't make sense)...
Ok man, no problem.
I bought the Ref I in 86 or 87, why would I lie about that?
You are probably right about the PDF though: I just checked...
your really rate them?
do you hate them or did you rate them (a review) ?
This is the original manual that came with my 600 ohm 540 Ref I.
I bought them in 1987 or something.
I scanned the manual, it's not a copy from...
As the title says: the 150s are bloody brillant, really.
There is a whole thread about the 540 Ref I (almost 60 pages):...
I didn't explain myself properly or you missed the point.
Those aren't the best earbuds or earpods. I totally agree.
But: "The low bass rolls...
"Dirac app" ?
what's that? some kind of equalizer or something?
Just received my iPhone 6.
The Earpods are fantastic.
I did a short test (source: iPhone 6, which is really excellent).
BTW, DT 100 was initially made for vocals (tracking, broadcasting, etc.).
DT 100 is a niche product.
I own both DT250-250 and DT150, both with the original velour and pleather pads.
I've done so many comparisons... and in the end, I love them...
replacement parts for the:
- HD540 Reference II
- HD540 Reference I
earpads, headband pads, headbands
haha... cheap compared to their "brothers", not cheap themselves
the hd 430 pads are my favourites ones.
good mix between 250 linear pads (a tad too mid bass tilted) and the original velour pads, way too...
I compared them again (540 I / II, 560 I / II).
And I just can't understand why my 540-13 Reference 600 ohm is SO SUPERIOR to the three others......
in case of... here's that 'glorious' HD 540 Reference I user's guide:...
It is the original stock cable of my HD 540-13 Reference (600 ohms).
my dt250 - 250 ohm is not bass-shy at all
its bass is tight and textured
and, most important... no damn mid-bass hump
thanks for giving more details on your impressions.
just to make sure we are talking about the same cable, is the steel vs copper cable visual...
Very interesting, almost intriguing.
I have both the new copper cable and the original 1986 steel cable.
Could you please elaborate on that?...
