Swapped this HD800S with a buddy (on head-fi) a few months ago and he never used it so I got it back thinking I would use it. It's in mint condition with no blemishes that I can find. Pads are mint as well. Complete set with 2 OEM cables (1/4" and 4.4mm). Here's the link to pics...

another thing to consider is the pads Sheepskin pads make difference as well. The missing "bass" goes away with sheepskin pads, on both the HD800 and HD800S.

One thing I noticed with the HD800s is that it sounds better out of a tube amp versus solid state amp. When I had my XI Audio amp, the HD800S just didn't pair well with it. But it shines from my WA22.

My impression on the first day I brought the KSE1200/1500 home and until today are still the same. HOLY CRAP THE DETAILS. It was the first moment I listened to it that I decided to do a fire-sell on all most of my non-custom IEMs.

Since this is an IMR thread I’ll just say one last thing about the KSE1200. My first impression of them were that they were so intense with all the details right in your face. Instruments never sounded so real. It just made music, very musical.

The KSE1200 reminded me so much of the hifiman Susvara paired with a powerful solid state amp.

I have not heard the Stax

I can say the same thing about all my IEMs after owning the KSE1200. Best IEM I’ve owned to date. The KSE1200 is a masterpiece.

I’ve used the M15 line out to the KSE1200. There seems to be too much voltage and I hear static at times so I stopped using the M15. Never noticed a channel imbalance though.
