I got the following graph from a fellow member. They show the effects of different oversampling filters on square wave. This may give you an idea of how critical the filter is when the DAC reconstruct the final audio signal.

With Chord DACs, DSD is converted back to 16fs PCM though but if the DSD conversion from HQPlayer is excellent to begin with, there will be measurable differences in the output from a Chord WTA filter applied to PCM from converted DSD to PCM from the FPGA programming
