The Gold Bar only accepts input via USB. So you'll need the USB C cable from your phone to the iFi to hear anything or to make it work

Here's the pics of the headphones and what was modded on them. I keep telling my friend who modded them that he needs to hear the combo but he lives in another state so that's very difficult. Maybe one day though. I actually don't love/like the 600 on the XE but I DID like the 650 on the XE...

The original. I actually have a modded version. My buddy made him and I a pair so there's actually only 2 in the world of my type. I'll post a pic. It was based off another mod but he tweaked it and improved the design.

You should hear the XE with something like a Hifiman HE-400. The synergy is off the charts. Just magic.

I had a really fun time at the meet. The food was great and I enjoyed talking with everyone. The gear was equally impressive across the board and I was VERY taken with with the Eddie Current and Ultrasonic Citadel amps. Looking forward to the next event and some new gear!

Really, it boils down to your own personal preference and listening tests on this. My experience mirrors @whitedragem . I noticed better, cleaner highs and more space around the instruments with more defined outlines with the iPurifier3 (no iSilencer+ in the chain). The bass also got tighter and...

The Silencer+ does different functionality than the ipurifier. The ipurifier does what the isilencer+ does + about 2 more functions. So if you have the ipurifier, the isilencer+ will not be needed. And the ipurifier3 will probably give you better sound than the iSilencer+ on its own.

I just got an iFi iPurifier 3 with USB B Female / USB A Female. Included were a USB A > USB C and a USB A > USB Micro cable. What are the points of these cables in this setup?
