Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube
Is it possible to change how long the n3pro goes into standby in usb dac mode? I paused my video, got up, and then had to wait again before sound came back.- pithyginger63

I’d love a belt carrier. I know I’d look like a doofus but having the tubes on the outside seems pretty cool to me- pithyginger63

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube
Don’t have a dx160, but comparing with my dx150 amp8, the 150 sounds like a flatscreen tv while the n3pro sounds like a curved 3D tv in terms of soundstage. Signature-wise, the n3pro is big on the bass without ever getting boomy and surprisingly sweet in the upper mids.- pithyginger63

Indeed! I tried so much high end equipment only to fall back to something like the n3pro. The sentimentality of the warmer, thicker sound really caught me off guard.- pithyginger63

I’ll report back! Off to a good start already I think. I saw a discussion about feeling the music with a DD, and I gotta say that the n3pro can make you feel the music even with a BA iem.- pithyginger63

After trying and getting an n3pro, I realize that natural sound was what I’ve been looking for. Aside from cables, or if my A12t breaks (which is very likely considering my track record), I’m pretty much retiring from the upgrade game. I’ve found my synergy- pithyginger63

Cayin N3Pro DAP: Dual AK4493 and MQA with Vacuum Tube
Just listened to a song I have a lot of memories of on the n3pro, and I’ve gotta say, I haven’t felt so connected to the music in a long time (triode mode, alo gold 16, a12t). I continued crying for a good minute after I paused to song. Gonna try some even warmer and more melodic cables soon.- pithyginger63

I went over to a store and picked up an n3pro today. Love the sound so much; it sounds so alive. There is an issue with navigation though; when entering the genre section, I think it'd be better to have an option to view albums instead of a list of all the songs in the genre. Also, i wish you...- pithyginger63

4.4 for iems, no need for streaming or other wireless media, mainly considering portability and budget. Seems like the R5 is a good choice to fit those things.- pithyginger63

I'm beginning to consider the DX160, pretty easy for me to get my hands on, though I'm hoping it's more stable than my DX150, which would crash every other evening.- pithyginger63

Long time no see my friends. Weird question regarding to sound perception. What would cause a setup to sound like everything is in "slow motion"? This is something I felt was the case with the original U12, and with my current setup as well, R2R2000 Red + Alo Audio Gold 16 + A12t. Sometimes...- pithyginger63

Long distance relationships mean that sometimes you watch the same videos with each other. Since she uses her speakers to watch and I only put one ear of my earphones in, I've had some strange experiences where the sound from her speaker and the sound in my iem matches ends up with some pseudo...- pithyginger63

Toranku's Thoughts and Reviews (and target EQ filters!)
Hello Toranku, I was wondering what your thoughts would be on measuring your hearing sensitivity and applying the results to the graph. I recently had my hearing measured, though not in a particularly controlled or thorough way, but I noticed that my hearing was more sensitive at 2khz and had a...- pithyginger63
