    Apple AirPods Pro - Impressions

Has anyone been able to try the Spinfits and other 3rd party tips? Would be interested in a comparison.

    Is there a "comfortable" headphone?

I guess comfort is specific to the wearer as everyone has different head / ear shapes, sensitivities to weight, clamp pressure etc. But from my experience (and from what I've read on head-fi) the HD650s and other sennheiser full-size cans are comfortable.

Best IEMs for only podcast / dialogue listening

If you're looking for IEMs just for dialogue / podcasts, I'd say fit, isolation and ease of use are the key factors you should consider. Most IEMs with a good seal will produce decent passive sound isolation but if you're mostly using on public transport then IEMs with ANC would be ideal...

    Apple AirPods Pro - Impressions

That's a shame to hear, Xelastecs was one of the options I was looking to solve my issues with the stock ear tips. At the moment I'm in between sizes with the stock eartips so the seal isn't as good as I'd like. Currently looking for an alternative...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Would be interested to seeing how these sounds compared to the MTW. It'll most likely be reduced sound quality and feature set but would be pretty cool if they retained most of made the MTW good while reducing features to keep the cost down.

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

I've been getting some sweat on my ear pads (both through normal use and when I use the headphones at the gym on occasion). I usually wipe the ear pads down before storing them after every use and they've held up fine.

    Best Wireless Headphones?

I would second the Sonys. Generally considered the king of ANC, great usability and good sound quality when compared to its competition.

What headphones do you have, and what do you still want?

Totally agree with you re HD650. But then again this is a dangerous hobby and I've said those famous last words before...

    hd25-1 impressions thread

I've found with alot of on-ear headphones the physical experience can vary quite a bit person to person (i.e. a person could find a pair comfortable on the ear but others find it unbearably comfortable). Could definitely understand where you're coming from with the fatiguing sound. The bass is...

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

I agree! I've been trying out different IEMs but have noticed that this is the IEM that I always keep around while the others eventually get swapped out or sold

    Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

Re. price: I've personally found that the SE846 goes on sale much more often than other IEMs. I bought my pair for 1/2 the price some time ago

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

The whole idea of pushing a firmware update to change the sound of a pair of headphones is wild. What a time to be alive. I haven't updated by pair since I started using them, better look into this.

    Volume: PC, DAC, or amp?

I agree, I think best practice from a sound quality perspective is to keep PC / player at 100% and then adjust with DAC / Amp. This route also ends up being the most convenient imo

Chromecast audio - can anyone comment on sound quality?

Hi all - this thread has inspired me to explore using a chromecast audio as at-home / at-office wireless setup. Have people noticed a difference in sound quality when using different power outputs in their powerbanks? Wondering if I could get away with an older powerbank with a lower output for...

What Headphones Got You Hooked On Good Sound?

I think the first time my ears were opened to this world was when I listened to my friend's HD600s. I don't remember what amp / DAC was used but I really didn't know music could sound like that when I tried them. It was around 15-20 years which is remarkable when you consider that quite a few...

    V-MODA M-200: Official Impressions & Reviews Thread

    hd25-1 impressions thread

Completely agree. The HD25s are surprisingly robust considering how they look. None of my DJ friends have ever had any issues with the original HD25s (and some of them absolutely abuse them - throw them around, strangle them with wires when packing away, toss them in their backpack without a...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

How do you feel about the usability of the Senn MW2? I think most people consider them to be the standard when it comes to sound quality but I've read that the usability of the MW2s leaves alot to be desired.

    Post your computer specs!~

Yeah I think previously people paid the Apple premium because they knew that the machining and build quality of the product that they were purchasing would be top notch. There weren't any Windows laptops that screamed 'premium'. I think that started to change 5 or so years ago when MS was...

    Sony WH-1000XM4 discussion and reviews

I agree. I currently have the XM2 and really can't justify spending money for the incremental / quality of life upgrades. I think the state of the market is basically if you already have a high performing set of ANC headphones (Sony, Bose etc.) then there really isn't any incentive to look for...

    Post your computer specs!~

I think the Razer Blade 15 is the option most people turn to for thin performance laptop. I've tried using a friend's for sometime and it's well built and performs surprisingly well considering its build. It's all personal preference but I'd agree with seamon that options that are a little bit...
