You should be able to use the "Boot Apps" app to start the alternate launcher at boot without disabling anything. You may still have to set as default though?

On my DAPs and DACs, Amazon music always plays at 192 kHz, regardless of source quality. I assume that the app is resampling internally.

This seems to support SMB1 only. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong? I don't really want to enable SMB 1 on my network due to massive, well known security issues.

Actually 192 KHz support was added in Android 9. Obviously it does depend on hardware.

In the FiiO Music app, open settings, then USB output and turn off Exclusive USB Audio Access Mode.
