Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 vs. vmoda m100
Coming from a fellow Metalhead! One thing I have learnt from my many headphones and setups, is too much bass ruins the track (imo)! For me, out of those two, I would go for the Momentum 2.0 or the V-Moda XS like mentioned above. The V-Moda M-100 are just too bassy for me, and in my...- HUM24H

Which android dap you guys recommend?
Out of that list, I'd go for the Fiio X7. No need for the DP-X1 unless you really need the dual DAC & AMP chips plus the balanced output. I would also look at Pioneer XDP-100R, basically the little brother to the DP-X1.- HUM24H

Wireless headphones for PC/games and music
Don't forget that if we listen to something for long enough we tend to think that it sounds best and it isn't until we listen to something that is better, that we realise how better sound can be. So yeah I would say give it some time for you to get used to the sound. Honestly if you have...- HUM24H

Introduction and question concerning DACs
Sometimes old amps have the ability to add remote IR units to them via a port on the back but unfortunately your receiver does not have this ability and most likely, as you've said, due to its age. My only solution is do get a new receiver with an IR blaster built into the unit and an...- HUM24H

Wireless headphones for PC/games and music
As long as the dongle has Bluetooth 4.0 or higher than you should be fine. I would simply go for the one with the best reviews + highest bluetooth standard + Perhaps have AptX onboard as well.- HUM24H

Need advice from owners: excessive sibilance brightness with new DUNU DN-2000J's?
Personally, I don't really believe a "burn-in" effects the sound signature or quality. For me I found the Fidue A83 highs to be harsh initially and to this day they are still as harsh as they were when I first heard them but I have personally become use to the harsh/sparkly highs and like it...- HUM24H

Need advice from owners: excessive sibilance brightness with new DUNU DN-2000J's?
Other than that, there is not much I can say but try and look for IEM's with a warm sound signature. Shure's SE535 comes to mind in terms of a warm/lush sound signature.- HUM24H

Need advice from owners: excessive sibilance brightness with new DUNU DN-2000J's?
Ah man! Thought you would've had a good time with the Dunu DN-2000J, mainly because I thought the DN-2000J would've had a slightly less sparkly highs compared to the Fidue A83 which has some very sparkly highs which kinda adds to the great detail that I like. The hiss is annoying, the output...- HUM24H

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
I mean you can come and test it here if you want :D But yeah I managed to put my XDP-100R at the top furthest part of the house and then I stood at the bottom furthest part from the XDP-100R, so I had the maximum theoretical distance between the headphones and the XDP-100R. And honestly...- HUM24H

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
Just wanted to say that I've just tested using my V-Moda CFW's with my XDP-100R. My house has three floors and so I put the XDP-100R on the top floor and no matter where I stood in the house, the signal was not degraded and didn't cutting out and sound quality was consistent. Outside...- HUM24H

Is there such thing as a streaming dap?
Both the Pioneer XDP-100R & Onkyo DP-X1 run stock Android 5.1.1, so you are able to easily download Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Apple Music, Google Play Music, etc.- HUM24H

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
Oh no doubt! I am in no way surprised by the price and in fact it does make sense. It is just I personally don't seen the reason to buy the DP-X1 over the XDP-100R unless you really need the dual DAC's & AMP's or/and the Balanced Output. Other than those two points, the two devices...- HUM24H

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
£699.00 :P Yes it is £200 more expensive than the XDP-100R, I guess if you want the dual DAC's & AMP's plus the Balanced output then the DP-X1 makes a little sense but for me I had no need for either of those and the £200 price increase over the XDP-100R simply made me get the XDP-100R...- HUM24H

amp/DAC's to compliment audio gear?
In my opinion the Fiio E10K will be more than sufficient. If you can and want to, then you can spend a bit more for the Objective 2 amp + ODAC. The TH-X00 may benefit from the Objective 2 but the K7XX will be good on the Fiio E10K.- HUM24H

Is there *really* an audible difference between different DACs?
In theory well designed dacs & amp chips should be more than sufficient, to which a lot of dac & amp chips on the market today are well designed and are more than sufficient. From my personal opinion once you get good quality audio equipment, spending more for even higher quality gives you...- HUM24H
