Had some HE400i for about 2.5 years, just got Sundara. Worth every penny. They're so much tighter and better defined that the HE400i which I now realise is a little on the soft side. Imaging and seperation are definitely better although soundstage is about the same. This is just what my ears...

Yes. But to be fair, the Caiman Seg is not strictly a typical Dac as in it doesn't use a standard dac chip and has separate Left and Right power, signal, and ground wiring which improves seperation and soundstage so it may well be that it's the implementation that makes it superior but I think...
