I've read that the build quality on the Philips are pretty shocking to say the least and after going through 3 pairs of soundmagic e10m I'd rather buy something that'll last. Shame as I have heard they are pretty good.   Yamaha look like interesting ones, will have to look more into them. Thanks.

Thanks for the recommendation but I really dislike over ear headphones.    I predominantly listen to more bass music (edm) but also like classical so wouldn't want the bass to be too overpowering.
