As much as i love tubes, i just don't have the budget or patience to play with them anymore. i am looking at reliable solid-state amps. Thanks for your suggestions. Will check out the RSA HR-2 and the Meier Opera. Hope i can make it down to the canjam so i can try both and make a decision.

i also own the K701. Although K701 in many aspects is indeed better than K500/K501, but for Jazz/Classical, i find myself keep going back to the K500. In addition, i have a big head and the comfort issue with K701 clamping down on the sides of my head just keep making me pick up the K500...
