Did you make sure to uninstall the preinstalled app downloader program (think it was apkpure)? For some reason that application likes to use a lot of your device even when it's not being used. Most people just recommend to get rid of it and use Google play or use their site instead of the app...

The download link wasn't via HTTPS though, seems like the site is set up so it can still be browsed without a SSL. I had the same issue, my malwarebytes browser addon blocked the firmware download link and I had to bypass it to download.

Speaking of LDAC why does the M6 seem to be set to 44.1khz/16bit when using it rather than 96khz/24bit? It's not a massive issue considering most of my stuff is CD quality anyway, but just curious as my phone defaults to 96khz with LDAC without going into the developer options to change it.

Has Creative not mentioned anything more about that HDMI TV box which would allow you to use the Super X-FI stuff with your TV? That seemed kind of interesting from the stand point you'd maybe be able to get uncompressed 5.1 or 7.1 from HDMI devices unlike the current optical solutions.

The Creative UK page for upgrading your Sound Blaster mentions that a Sound Blaster external USB sound card including SXFI is coming Q3 2019 but there seems very little information about it.
