Does anyone happen to be around Santa Barbara area know of any audio shops? I've been going around looking for a a music shop to audition some headphones I've been meaning to try, but haven't had any luck. So if anyone is around here and knows of a place, I could use a heads-up!

comfort: very comfortable, but earcups tend to get very hot/sweaty. velour pads would fix this. durability: they seem pretty durable so far, but all cheapish plastic, so i wouldnt treat them too poorly. bass: bass is the strong point of these headphones, its impactful and extends fairly well...

I was pretty underwhelmed by these initially. After a night of burn-in, they are sounding much better to my ears!  The bass has definitely tightened up.

Sounds like you're leaning towards the K550. It supposedly has more isolation and less bass than a D2000.
