iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...
I missed my return window and at the same time my ZS stops play music randomly. Is there a way to see error logs? I'm hoping you will release stable update soon.- yoghurtlidlicker

iFi audio ZEN Stream - Streaming elevated to a higher plane
to be honest when I first boot it up I couldn't connect it for over an hour then suddenly it just worked... I have no idea why. Since then I didn't have any major issues. Maybe worth contacting ifi Customer Service directly?- yoghurtlidlicker

have you tried to connect using device IP? You can see it from your router settings "connected devices" or similar. This worked for me coz I struggled as well. I have to agree, it's not finished product. I wonder what ifi thinks... do they pat themselves on the back? hah I decided to keep ZS...- yoghurtlidlicker

Follow my steps in previous post. SPDIF - hit play (no sound) - while still in playback - click save (the light will restart) - then it should work. If I just click save SPDIF, it doesn't work. The light is on but no sound. It's a bit confusing. On the second note, why would you choose RCA on...- yoghurtlidlicker

ok... my exact steps are: turn on ZS, play any track (I use just USB drive) the light will come up but no sound, then go to playback options and hit 'save' they light will go off then it should work. If I just "save" and play it won't work. It's play -light on-> no sound --> save spdif -no...- yoghurtlidlicker

I don't know how to help you with network issues but I think I got the same "bug" with SPDIF. What works for me - every time ZS power on, I have to go to 'playback options' and choose SPDIF, click 'Save' (even though it's already set us SPDIF!). I hope this makes sense.- yoghurtlidlicker

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question... ZS (with USB thumbdrive) --coax cable--> MC3+ --coax cable--> TT2- yoghurtlidlicker

Volumio is OK as long as it's implemented correctly. Therefore I'd like to see "polished" product, fix bugs, improve stability.- yoghurtlidlicker

iFi Zen Stream: Setup, Tips, Tricks...
Thanks @Mr BubbaHyde. I'm not giving up that easily. I previously used it with USB (with Mutec MC-3+ Smart Clock USB) without any issues. I prefer Spdif (it sounds better to my ears) with my MC-3+ Smart Clock USB. I don't use any streaming services, just USB flash drive with .flac files. I have...- yoghurtlidlicker
