Chord Mojo issue solutions thread.
I have a problem with my mojo. I bought my mojo a month ago. Everything were ok until today. Basically, usb port does not work. I tested with PC, MAC, and Android. None of them can see the mojo. Any idea or suggestion how to fix it? I have no problem connecting mojo via OPT.- yadoo

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
For anyone interested, this is Bob Katz and Tyll's initial impressions on Yggy https://youtu.be/jtjlUiCFkno?t=52s from 0:52 to 7:21. They also compared Ygg with 'Antelope Audio Zodiac Platinum DSD DAC with Voltikus Power Supply, and 10M Rubidium Atomic Clock ($13,045)'- yadoo

Check out Yggdrasil measurements http://www.head-fi.org/t/764787/yggdrasil-technical-measurements/90#post_12536283 ....They are close to Dave . Dave still outperforms though! Shhhhhh Dave. However, if you consider the price differences, then you will have a good $$$/quality. Unfortunately, these...- yadoo

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread
You are right. My bad. In all three, apparently there is no dedicated amp (very impressive and well-done chord). Thanks JaZZ for clearing this out. Usually, this is not the case. You want to add a powerful amp, just use the same DAC and add a dedicated chip with a separate board. Cheers, Y- yadoo

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread
First, take it easy . The amp has to be somewhere in the box, there is no magic here. I think we both agree on that. I strongly believe that It is in the second board. It should be something like this http://uk.farnell.com/audio-amplifiers. There is no other place! The first board is the...- yadoo

Two problems with this: First, I don't about you, but I would rather have a mojo without case instead of taking every 30 mins from its shell. Then I need to carry both the case and mojo together. When it is cool down, and need to put it back in. Second, you cannot charge the mojo will...- yadoo

A coupe of key scratches here and there. To be honest, it is useless. Don't even bother, spend your money on a dinner much better. Unless you live in a cold place, covering mojo in summer is a really bad idea. It will be cooked like a steak inside your pocket . Personally, I went with...- yadoo

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread
Why is that? As far as I know, hugo does not have an amp in it. TT have one build-in amp on a separate board which is attacked to the DAC. The topology Hugo>external amp>speakers: you will get one amp in the system. The topology TT>external amp>speakers: you will get two amps in the...- yadoo

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread
'Coloring' is distortion whether we like it or not (signal processing 101). Otherwise, the sound of TT should be identical to hugo (the purest component in the ring) with the assumption that the chips in both systems get exact same input signal. In TT, since there is a built in amp,it adds...- yadoo

Chord Hugo TT High End DAC Amp Impressions Thread
I know inserting an external component to the ring will add distortion. There is no doubt about that. However, there are some amps currently in the market that are really good. Take Phonitor e for example which has THD & N: 0.00091 % (at 0 dBu, 1kHz, 100 kohms load). I doubt TT will give you 3%...- yadoo

Internally it is not one board. They are two separate boards and should be. Maybe I am missing something from the pictures, but that what it looks like. Perhaps, someone can post more clear pictures to show how the hugo board is expanded. That will be fantastico :) There is no magic in...- yadoo

According the website (which I added in the post), both use Audio Precision SYS2722 system for the measurements. I am not familiar with 2722, but it should consider jitter in stream. Perhaps, someone more familiar with the tool can answer your question. If you are asking why the output sin...- yadoo

I won't use the word 'cleanest' here. I will say it is certainly the most accurate DAC compared to the other in terms of converting from digital domain to analog domain. In plain English, it is a better DAC as the word DAC stands for.- yadoo
