Selling my Abyss Diana V2 as I’ve got too many headphones. They sound excellent especially the bass. They have a few paint chips which is usually for abyss headphones. Also I’ve glued one of the pads back together due to typical Abyss quality once again. Doesn’t affect the headphone quality or...

    SP1000M APK Install Help

Can someone please help me with installing spotify onto two sp1000m's. I've managed to install the apk file of Tidal onto one but not the other. When I drag the Spotify APK file into the Openservice folder then go to services on either sp1000m's, nothing shows up. I am downloading the apk files...

    Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread

I have never auditioned anything from Audeze and your preference of HD700's over LCD 2/3 shows how every perceives audio differently.

This is heavily dependent on your setup. The LCD-X is planar magnetic and therefore needs specific amplification. The TH900 however is a amazing sounding headphone. I have listened to it with my Meier Audio Classic Amp and my RWAK120-S (which is better than my desktop DAC) and the sound of...

Ok depending on how long you would have to save up for the new setup, you may as well get the 700's now. The only advantage I can see through doing this is that once you get a higher end setup, maybe something like a Schiit stack, you will will notice a phenomenal difference and probably end up...

Hey Bob, I don't know how much help this information will be but I have listened to the HD700's both through my setup and a friend's setup. With my Meier Audio Classic and Daccord, the 700's do sound quiet phenomenal. Though I listen to electronic music, dubstep mostly and the Sennheiser sound...

The 700's are far less 'picky' then the 800's and the EL8's are a portable headphone, which I would imagine means that they would sound great out of your standard smartphone. If you already have a awesome DAC and Amp, then you should definitely consider the 800's. The 700's are much easier to...

Thanks for the answer David. You have a Ember and a Crack, wow very nice. Do you prefer the Crack for HD800's over the ember? I am craving a pair of HD800's and want to give myself a excuse to add a Crack to my setup :)

No they would not be enough for the hd700's. However, if you plan on buying a higher end source and amp in the future, then they could suffice. If the e17 would be your end all, then highly recommend you don't buy it.

The HD800's sound amazing on the crack? And the 700's sounded okay? Isn't the crack highly recommend for 600,650 and the 700's with the 800 being the one that it shouldn't push too well, but is capable of doing. I would love to build a crack and buy a pair of HD800's in the future.

I have read many people rave about the HD800's with that amp/dac combo, which I can't wrap my head around. Then practically everyone will tell you, that you need to spend a hefty amount of money on a great source and amp for the 800's. With the classic saying being 'feed them crap, they sound...

Demo'ed the HD800's with the O2/ODAC and it was horrific. The O2 pulled the 800's down so much, to the point that it was unbearable.
