    The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread

I have compared 23RM to 23R on relatively short term powering DCA Expanse and find them close and very noticeably the same presentation, but with fully apparent “mobile” version of 23R in the smaller package. Everything good, just pared down or stepped back at the edges. Like your very favorite...

Introducing XIaudio (Eleven Audio) Broadway and Broadway S.

My journey led me from THX 789 to RME ADI2 with XI Broadway, then to Chord TT2 and finally TT2 feeding Enleum amp 23R. RME with the little HPA-23R could be a VERY nice compromise at about half the investment, but I can hear the difference to my chain.

Solution: Pre-download your own sopurce material to test track on all systems. usually pretty easy to connect any well kitted DAP.

Dan Clark Audio EXPANSE Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

OOR stack used can be had for a steal, and it is noticeably above ADI-2

The End-Game Solid State Amplifier Master List

I got to TT2 feeding Enleum 23R and I’ve been unconvinced to chase thousands more in the chain for the next step for over a year now. Likely endgame.

Dan Clark Audio EXPANSE Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

I would consider tt2 or adi2 a baseline for these cans to sound correct and fulfilled. Ferrum stack and Holo stack are better, TT2 feeding Enleum 23R, or better yet Zahl HM1 are best sounding SS paired with these. For tubes Ampsandsound Nautilous is my choice, anything less is obviously less imo.

NAMM (Anaheim CA Jan 25-28 2024) experience and rx?

I’ve been invited by a client to visit NAMM in Anaheim in January of next year and I am more than a little intrigued! Any experience from the head-fi community with this conference and impressions? I’m sure it will be interesting on other fronts, but would be curious about cans as well. On...

Just saw this in time! Been just enjoying my setup without change since last Can Jam but always stoked to come see the bright and shiny! Thinking I might bring Enleum 23R again with hookups if there are any planned afterparty/mini meets, send me PM!

Dan Clark Audio EXPANSE Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

I second the Zahl, and I recommend Enleum 23R (at least V1). IMO RME ADI 2 dac FS is the minimum gear combo you will see people starting to warm up to Expanse showing off its chops. Still love the Nautilus pairing though, my #1 to date.

Still loving the expanse. New Years resolution is to listen to 3 albums each from the (biased) Rolling Stones recent top 200 singers list with these cans over the next year.

Dan Clark Audio EXPANSE Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

It’s like, exactly what the return policy is for man! No explanation necessary! Enjoy the ZMF who are made by another cool as hell enthusiast sound engineer and see how that flavor of ice cream hits you. There is no possible argument against trying out what’s out there, because the argument for...

Dan Clark Audio EXPANSE Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

In comparison the Elite is a warmer set. It’s the Bentley as compared to Bugatti Veyron as Expanse. It doesn’t keep up with the outstanding technical characteristics of Expanse, and to my ear the timbre of Expanse is more accurate, but Elite does present as welcoming, lush enveloping but not...
