Hmmm this looks identical to JMAudio XTC lol. 100% clone. If it sounds as good, then this price is a steal...

The pads use a lip style which is the most common standard. No glue on these and they are fairly easy to roll if you want to try a different pad for a different sound profile. By default, John ships them with 2 or 3 extra pads just so you can experiment with them.

Wow the Vinneta and Arkona both look amazing. Definitely want to try this one.. I wonder when they will be up for sale. Never heard of paper being used as a diaphragm before now.

Has anyone by chance had an opportunity to compare Thror vs Thekk? I read that they may use the same driver but tuned different? Does it make sense to try Thekk if I already have a Thror? (I also have Wodan and LSA Diamond). I have a desire to try all the models if possible but don’t want to end...

    New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)

Darkvoice se336, or something like a Bottlehead Crack would be great for them I think.

    New Beyerdynamic T1 (2nd Generation)

I think it’s the best Beyerdynamic in the line. A shame that the 1.3 version wasn’t an actual improvement and the 1.2 got discontinued. All that being said, I love the 1.2.. does benefit from a good amp, especially otl if you have one. Very engaging sound. I’m one of those ppl that believes good...

I spoke with Pavel and asked this directly regarding the open back Thror. He said that Thror will continue to be the “flagship” open back for now. I am not sure about the Closee Back counterpart however.

Very nice! Did they by chance have a new open back model as well?

Interesting. I wonder if the ecl01 non mf tape mod might sound better than 03mf? I’d love to actually hear your feedback on this if you wouldn’t mind helping me out and trying it on an ecl01 if you have one around. FWIW I had my wife listen to it and she agreed it’s the best headphone overall...

@eric65 again.. I'm using an ECL01 pad with two small pieces of electrical tape on the inside of each pad to cover up the perforations (two clusters of small holes). It should perform very similar to an ECL03 ear pad but there might be some differences due to material used, and obviously my pad...
