Well I haven't even managed to buy a DAC/AMP yet so I'm interested in this unit. Only recently bought pair of decent headphones so I've been scouring this site for some ideas. PS: That's certainly not me in the video I linked, it just happened to be a fairly thorough review that I shared...

Yeah, it is quite bit strange, but I enjoyed the review and felt like it was a pretty thorough.

As somebody who is about to buy their very first headphone amp, I'd like to know this as well....

Ahh....that makes perfect sense. Of course. And I'm assuming if you're using the optical out, you will then obviously need a DAC *and* an amplifier, correct? Thank you for replying Ggrouch, and helping a new guy out...!

Jamie - this is a great idea and I'm very interested in hearing more about it.... As somebody who is brand new to this hobby.... Can I ask what may be perceived as a stupid question? How do you control the volume? (Sorry)

New member here: I saw Stereoland mentioned earlier in the thread, has there ever been a meet-up there? If so, how did it go? Any chance for another one there?
