you should get a pair of closed cans since I guess you would bring them travelling around.    Sony MDR-1R, Denon D1001 are good choice and they are easy to drive.

I never trust cans like monster beats, skullcandy etc. those are more like a eye attracting cans rather than sound attracting. anyone tells you those cans have nice sound. they might just like their wired boom boom boom bass...

where did you plug your cans in? the phone jack or the back if receiver?   70 watt is wayyyyyyyy to much for a headphone. a 250ohm cans only need couple hundred of milliwatts which is 10^-3 watts. 

I like the black color. I would have purchased one if the price in the North America is as low as in Hong Kong

not familiar with your amp. I will say proper amp will give your better sound from your 650 because your amp is not designed for headphones. it's headphone jack is just increase the resistance to prevent the burnout of your headphone. It has enough power to drive, but I will say power is not...

Hey all LF onwers,   Just wonder how you do with your RCA cables on your LF? I am considering getting a new pair of RCA cable but have no idea which one or what kind of material is suitable for this amp. Also, did anyone change the stock tubes any experience from changing them?

I don't know if any of you notice that. The newer d7ks sound different than the order one. Especially the bass is not that strong anymore, and vocal is a bit darker than the older ones.. I dont know if thats just my problem or all the new cans selling now are the same like mine

I was using Solo Ul. there is noticeable noise when you plug in the headphone and the most important is UL is not that type of sound for japanese headphones

$1999 integrated dac and amp. I dunno how it is compared to those 3k+ individual components.  maybe is the best at this price range but not the best among all equipment

lucky that I have a pair of D7k's.. I'm not going to buy such a Beat's style headphone...
