Pioneer Monitor 10 (1978)... Underwhelmed!?
Hello. I have just found one and was of course curious about it. but I am very surprised that they are said to be monitor headphones. the curve is flat on the advert, but there is a big bump in the mids and only the highs are accurate in my opinion. there is a very important lack in bass. those...- wppk

I bought a new mutlimeter that works, and I have three different impedances on the three different 540 golds I own. 600 ohms on the one which is marked 600, and 308 on the 300, but I have 579 on the third. Three very different results in sound, though. also, I made the test on two...- wppk

personnally, I don't feel the same about it. I had the hd 800, and I find it tiring to listen to after a while, because it is like watching life thru a magnifier all the time. it doesn't sound as real as the 540 G in my mind and the extension and scene of the 540 are perfect to me, great...- wppk

My meter is a dvm1500 velleman. to answer about the serial numbers, the 300 ohms is 18266, the 600, 10572and for the half way is...- wppk
