The title says it all. They may not be very good but I am really curious because the same headphones appear in nearly every episode.

Pretty expensive compared to my ATs. What do folks think about the Audio Technica ATH-AD700?

I have a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50s.  I love the sound but now I would like to get a pair of open phones with similar sound. Can anyone make a recommendation?

Ive had mine for over a month and i don't notice much of a difference. Others claim there is a big difference.

To me the bass is just right. it is not tipped up or over emphasized. if the music had deep bass you will hear it, if it doesn’t you wont.

note the 's' stands for straight cable, the ones pictured for sale have the coiled cable. same cans, tho. same wonderful sound.

Agreed. Excpept for cell phone interference, i don't hear any issues with my computer sound, even using headphones.

By any chance is your cell phone near your computer? i have noticed my computer speakers pick up a lot of interference from my cell, i'm constantly moving it around to minimize this. and, yes, i can hear the interference on headphones as well.

Well, I'm not much of an upgrade-r, the Grado's I'm replacing are twelve years old!

Just got mine from B&H Photo and they are great. A bit heavy, but good low end, smooth highs, not at all overly bright. Thanks to a lot of input from this forum, Im happy!
