    McIntosh MHA200 Impressions

I am using the Mullard's in my MHA200 and I really think they add to the punchiness of the MHA200. Of course this is based on personal taste. I consider them an upgrade over the default tubes and would recommend to give them a try if you are into tube rolling.

    McIntosh MHA200 Impressions

After reading through 54 pages, I wanted to write a comment about the MHA200 looking at a new combo: I bought the MHA200 maybe 3 weeks ago. I tried pairing it with my MHA150 via the Pre-Amp output + SH800S I set the MHA200 to 12 position and then tried listening to it via my normal power...

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

I am using now Sennheiser HD800S and I really enjoy the clarity and warmness of the sound paired with the MHA150. Curious, if the MHA150 also will get a DAC upgrade like the other McIntosh amps at the moment. I think they can do now DSD512 with a new Quad Balanced, 8-channel, 32-bit...

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

I had a Hugo2 and hooked it up to the MHA150 amp to do a DAC/sound comparison with Audeeze headsets. I liked the MHA150 better (warmer and more dynamic). Obviously this test is highly subjective, but I returned the Hugo2 in favor of just sticking with the MHA150 --WW

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

I am using Roon to upsample. The MHA then plays the upsampled DSD256 Stream. Here is a good post on how it works and it’s pro/cons https://kb.roonlabs.com/DSP_Engine:_Sample_Rate_Conversion

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

Laptop with "high rez" sources and a good program like Roon works great. I started to up sample all my sources to DSD 256 on Roon. It opens up so much of the sound stage. MHA 150 is a trusted partner of Roon so it is recognized by the software and works out of the box without a hitch. My 2...

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

Congrats! Any headphone sounds great with the MHA-150. Some choices to consider: - Any Focal - Any Grado - Any Audeze Within these companies it is a very subjective choice. Have fun listening to a variety and pick the one you like best. -- WW

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

I The internal DAC is fine and still relevant today. it all depends what you pair the MHA 150 with. It sounds fantastic with the LCD-2. Like everything audio, bring your cans to a dealer and listen to it. I would not buy into the argument that you need an external DAC to enjoy this unit but...

    McIntosh Introduces the MHA150!

I have owned both the MHA100 and recently sold it and upgraded to a MHA150. I have Grado SR80 and LCD-2 cans. The difference is quite astonishing. the MHA150 DAC sounds MUCH better. Wider soundscape, more engaging bass, overall a much richer sound. I had a Mojo hooked up to the 100 and 150...

    MC MHA100 Issue

I bought yesterday from my local BestBuy their last MHA100. When I connected it at home and downloaded the MC Driver, I only seem to be able to play music at 192kHz. Any sampling rate below the Windows Control panel tells me that "no Audi Device" could be found. the MHA100 correctly tells me on...
