I use mine with a DX3 pro and I think it is a good match. Usually between -30 and -20 dB on low gain and it is very clean. Had a magni 3 before I got the verums but the DX3 definately sounded cleaner to me using HE-4xx and sensitive iems.

Oh in that case I dont know. A lot of people seem to believe so but I have not heard it. It should be slightly more neutral in the bass and have better treble extension. There are probably a lot of comparisons earlier in this thread and on other sites that could be worth looking at.

No, as long as you have a cable without some serious fault, the only time there might be a noticable difference is when going from single ended to balanced.
