I did. It was solved for a while and after couple days it's happened again. Not a big deal for me though. I could live with while waiting for the next FW.- WhiteNightCrow

Still around 2000-3000 files. Definitely not exceed 3000 files. The restart bug usually appears randomly when I'm pausing the music using physical button, and when I'm back to resume it, it's just do nothing, blank off screen, and suddenly restart itself.- WhiteNightCrow

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
Recently I added more files to my N5ii library. Around 4-5 albums, all in lossless formats. And there goes the legendary bug: random freeze and restarting. It was never happen before I added this files. Now I can confidently saying, it is definitely the file management issue. This firmware...- WhiteNightCrow

102 SSC is an excellent cable, but the microphonic level is just way beyond this world. And not to mention the memory effect which is very disturbing. You might want to cover it with some cotton sleeve to reduce the microphonic level.- WhiteNightCrow

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
I had no issue with N5ii, and if it does happen one day, I'm looking forward to March update and yes, I think it's worth to keep N5ii. I've compare it with many DAPs and found it really good for its price. Almost no competition in sub $400 for me.- WhiteNightCrow

+1. I never find any grainyness with N5ii but in bad recording/low res files. It's so smooth, some even said it's like buttered on vocals. So if you find it to be grainy, please do test it with another set of cans and tracks first. If it's still not to your liking, maybe you'd better buy a...- WhiteNightCrow

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
I've tried X5iii and one of the most annoying problem is the unbearable background noise. At first, I thought that the unit in my possession was faulty, but came out that everyone experience the same issue. Even worst if you pair it with a sensitive IEMs. The sound is OK, but nothing special...- WhiteNightCrow

I use a single V-Gen Hyper Series 64GB. Loaded with 2.123 songs. ExFAT format. Files grouped in folders based on artist, with the sub-folders consist of albums and or single folders. Some file pooled on single folder for random songs consist of various artist with just 1-2 track per artist...- WhiteNightCrow

But looking to each user's issues, they had different problems while using the literally same device with same FW version. I started to think, there are 2 possibilities here. First, (I hope it's not true) is poor manufacturing QC on hardware section that could lead to disturbance of performance...- WhiteNightCrow

Cayin N5ii Android based Master Quality Digital Audio Player
I have scrolling through the whole thread and surprised with the fact that some people experienced many problem with N5ii. I got mine about a month for now and I experienced some minor flaw only in previous 2.1 FW, such as freezing while scanning 2 SDcards, or problem reading some old cards...- WhiteNightCrow

Have you tried using the chin strap, that little black round tube above the splitter? I thought that might help to tame the cable a little., :)- WhiteNightCrow
