ATH-M50's for bassy music, or alternatives?

Hypocritical I know, but I do agree with you actually, I've learnt far far far more than in this thread by a bit of searching, due to the masses of archives of similar threads, however when it gets to the point where the same 4 or 5 pairs are being mentioned, and people like me are clueless, I...

ATH-M50's for bassy music, or alternatives?

Think I may just go for the Ultrasone HFI 580s, they from what I've heard are more suited for bassy genres and don't look too different in other aspects, still delivering great quality. Anyone out here got a pair that they can compare to the M50's?

ATH-M50's for bassy music, or alternatives?

Now it's a battle between the Ultrasone HFI 580 and M50's, Ultrasones apparently have much more bass but haven't heard as much hype about them compared to the M50's, anyone got them? Cheers!

Comparison/Review: AIAIAI TMA-1 vs. Audio Technica ATH-M50 (Shure SRH840 on the side)

Cheers for the comparison pic, so would you recommend the M50's for walking around? Or is it really edging to the stupidly-large-to-be-used-as-a-portable-headphone range? Haha

Comparison/Review: AIAIAI TMA-1 vs. Audio Technica ATH-M50 (Shure SRH840 on the side)

I really like the look of the M50's which is why I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of bass to go for them really, but how portable are they? How big are they on the head also? Been trying to find a photo of them on the head, but can't find any to really judge their size! Will be for using to go...

Comparison/Review: AIAIAI TMA-1 vs. Audio Technica ATH-M50 (Shure SRH840 on the side)

Would you recommend the M50's for bassy music like drum and bass and hip hop? Great review!

ATH-M50's for bassy music, or alternatives?

I'll take a look into a few of their models, thanks!   Would people with M50's recommend them at the UK price point of £135? I see they are often recommended with people stating they are sub $110, but obviously the UK price is a fair bit higher.

ATH-M50's for bassy music, or alternatives?

The XB series all seem to have huge earcups which I'm not a fan of, thanks for the recomendations though.    Is it realistic that I expect to be able to use the M50s at and around school, or walking into the city for example, aswell as at home? Or am I best off getting some more in ears?  ...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Hey guys, looking for a pair of closed back headphones, been drawn in by the ATH M50s, but they're a bit more than what I'm looking to ideally pay at £135.    Just wondering if there were any recommendations, or if it's worth paying this over a pair of £80 ones for example?   I'm a bit...

ATH-M50's for bassy music, or alternatives?

Been looking for the closed back headphones for a while and the safest bet seems to be the ATH M50's, although they're going for around £130 which is slightly over my budget. Another thing I've read is the lack of bass (or apparent lack of bass to bassheads)   I wouldn't usually worry, but...

New pair of headphones - advice?

Hi guys, new here and you all seem like a great bunch!   I'm looking for a pair of headphones for use with my phone/iPod. Been looking at some Sennheiser HD 212 Pros, couple of my mates have a pair and they seem decent for the price, but thought I'd ask around before going for them.   ...
