Just got my new speakers! M-Audio BX5a Deluxe: So now I'm done with audio for awhile, I've spent enough. Current setup. Optical out from mobo -> Maverick Audio Tube Magic D1 -> M-Audio BX5a or Sennheiser 595. I'm quite pleased. I'll get some pictures of my setup once it's all done.

Yeah sounds like it should work, but I know so little about all this. Proof of me knowing so little by this following question.   The TubeMagic D1 can only be used with active monitors correct? I pretty sure it doesn't work with passive ones, but that would be nice.

Too late, D1 is ordered! Now I just need to figure out the speakers.

I'm getting close to ordering the D1, but would still love to know about other options before pulling the trigger. I wasn't able to find an amp/ dac in that price range that had the features I needed, but I'm sure there are others.

Thanks for the reply CrazyRay, looks like some real nice gear there. I forgot to mention that this will be hooked up to my pc and I'll most likely be using optical or hdmi out.   That would put a small kink in older gear lol.
