Excellent posts everyone. Thanks for your help. I decided to go with the cheap Behringer U-Control. I will compare the sound quality (Behringer USB vs. optical) and may have to go with something else. I'll keep my fingers cross :-).

Well, since portables pretty much suck for these headphones, what would be a good desktop amp? I don't want a tube amp thought. Also, I'd rather have a desktop amp with a DAC. What do you guys recommend for a fun amp to compliement my monsters? THANKS!

uhh, will the D2 drive demanding headphones (like 250ohm cans)?? Or would it lack, exspecially in the bass? thanks for any response. I might have to put it in bold next time

Do you think the D2 will put out enough for my DT770 250ohm? How's the bass on this amp with demanding headphones? Or would I be better off with the Meier 2Move?

I don't use a sound card. Lol. I think if you were to get a sound card, the Sound Blaster Audigy or whatever is a good. Your soundcard is technically a amp/DAC that just goes INSIDE the computer. Well...you can better. There is a lot of RF noise, where inside the computer, it can pick it up...

Okay, I read through this thread quick, so I apologize for mixing it up with your headphones...but your still stubborn . I would go with the P2. I mean, your set on it anyways, and you really wouldn't be happy if you didn't get it - always wondering if it would feed your addiction to bass...

Well I got my cans today. I'm not running them off an amp. Anyways, they sound real "weak" and "empty." Once in awhile, they'll hit a bass note real low and loud and just shake. It's awesome. I'm pretty sure an amp will fix this. What do you guys think of the iBasso P2/D2 vs. Meier Corda...

I don't know whether I should get a seperate amp and DAC. The only portability I need is with the amp go to with my iPod. I really want the P2 with the bass switch. Plus the looks (again argh!). The D2comes with it all in one package though, and I think smaller... Would any of you advise...
