Not sure I agree that the TH900 mids are very scooped? I run mine through an Adi-2 so have tweaked the mids a tad but it’s tiny amount. The bass is the best executed that I have heard. I would love to try the WP900’s but they I would shocked if the bass comes close to the TH900.

Looks great and well specced. Given the form factor. They will sell loads of them for sure. I’m sure there will be cases available from someone with clips on - not that I have ever used a clip.

I don’t notice the cited dip in the mids in my idsd signature but do on the ADI-2. Just sounds a tad flatter. So I knock up the 4-5k range by a couple of db and it sounds much better. Also adds some air and staging.

I have an idsd sig, zen dac/can and an RME ADI-2 on my desk. There’s slight differences between them but it’s not huge. I would save your money and buy more/better headphones as they impact the sound more than dacs.

I flip between Grado Hemp and Fostex 900mk2 depending on the proximity of the missus.

If the previous zen dac v1 to v2 upgrade is anything to go by I doubt that there will be a huge leap in performance for existing v1 owners. Also with the v2 dac + can signature combo price pushing into idsd signature territory, the value proposition is not clear to me.

Grado’s and ifi amp/dacs with xbass were made for each other. I’ve been trying to emulate the xbass effect on the Rme ADI-2 and I can’t. Love my Hemps.
