I connected the normal 1.5m (not for audio) usb c to usb c (but thick) cable that came with my Asus monitor. I later replaced it with DD HiFi TC09s. By the way, the last replacement did not affect the sound in any way, but, I hope, protected the signal from external influences even better.- volodjalviv

I had the same problem with computer interference on the connecting cable. Moreover, this effect was observed only when the PCM signal was transmitted.
