The iPhone 3GS, sound quality and controllability
I know that the last post is over 9 years old. So now would iphone 3GS could still be considered a good digital audio player. You can pick one on ebay for $10, and there are alternatives to iTunes.- vmirinav

CMOYBB portable amp with 2x9V batteries works very well with HiZ-650. Before I ordered CMOYBB I asked them to reconfigure the amp for the HiZ-650 and they gladly did that for me (by adding 2x9V batteries and doing something else). The sound is super good now with ether my iPod 7 Classic or ASUS...- vmirinav

Just purchased HiZ-650. I currently have FiiO E11 as my potable amp. Do you think it would be good enough to drive these? If not what would be your recommended amp? I play my tunes on iPod 7th generation.- vmirinav
