Cd player volume control for CMOY
If you go to the product page on Digi-Key's website you will find links to the footprint and circuit in the "Catalog Drawings" section. Between the two you should be able to figure out how to hook it up. And, yes, it is a dual pot.- Vizzini

Cd player volume control for CMOY
I'm not entirely sure what you are asking, but I'll give it a shot. I believe what you are describing is a "thumbwheel potentiometer" that has a common ground connection. Digi-Key carries one from Panasonic and the schematic is shown in the parts listing. The one I found is Digi-Key part #...- Vizzini

Cmoy Pot/impedance question
Quote: I tried the link to Electronics Calculators, but it doesn't work for me. I am using Windows 7, tried it on Firefox and IE8 but the calculators wouldn't show up. (I have the latest Java update from Sun) I noticed the same problem and notified Tangent. He has corrected the...- Vizzini

Cmoy Pot/impedance question
Use the value of R2. The pot determines the input impedance of the amp, but has no effect on the roll-off freq. The higher the value of R2, the lower the corner frequency, but at the cost of some noise. Tangent has a noise calculator on his site that's informative to play with...- Vizzini

Wall wart question
The easiest way to determine if a wall wart is regulated is to check it with a meter. A regulated supply will output the rated voltage into any load up to the rated current. A non-regulated power supply will output a higher voltage at less than the rated current. Since a meter presents a very...- Vizzini

DIY Bench Power Supply
I built a very similar PS to the one mentioned in the first post of the thread, an Elenco XP-620k (which no longer seems to be available). The only difference between it and the XP-720k is the lack of AC outputs which I didn't need anyway. I replaced the standard pots that came in the kit...- Vizzini
