I've had the opportunity to spend a few minutes with W1000x at the Berlin meeting and to my ears their sound signature is very similiar to my D7000s. Not much of a comparison really,  just an impression.

@Deep Funk  - the guy with that great silver shiny self made amplifier was probably me ;) BTW it's called Audioton Hooligan.   @WirBrauchenBass  - "Stradivarius" is in fact a custom built AMB M3 with additional input selector owned by Klangoholic from HIFI-FORUM.de. Great piece of gear IMO...

I'm in with my Denons AH-D7000 plus a hybrid DIY headamp if you don't mind. Can also borrow a DVD-A player for hi-rez music if none's provided.
