Audio Newb's Journal (AKA Answer my Questions >:D)
Just got mine recently. I find the large triflanges terribly uncomfortable but the small triflanges (the "frost tips") are actually very comfortable and isolating. Using shure olives with mine for the little extra isolation, comfort and wee bit more bass (I think). If you want clear vocals I...- vincom2

in praise of etymotic HF5
Just wondering about the replaceable filters in the HF3/HF3 (I'm assuming they're the same) - how often do you normally have to replace them? Also, I notice only one extra set comes in the box... are these the same filters as in the ER4 line? It's easier to find those online.- vincom2

in praise of etymotic HF5
Quote: What bi-flanges do you use? My HF3s arrived today! I've been waiting for them for so long, and indeed, they are just awesome. I remember when I went down to a store and decided to try them, I was pretty sure I wouldn't like them because they were supposedly "analytical"...- vincom2

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
Quote: Ah crap. They'd better not do that to me, considering how my order for the 8320 (also incidental like yours, since I happened to visit the product page that day) turned into some huge order with lots of other stuff thrown in. I'm even using a package forwarder to get my stuff to me...- vincom2

Seriously, TF10 owners should try these tips
Do these come in other sizes? I clicked the "other sizes" link in their ebay description but it just brings me to their store where they don't appear to have sizes other than "sony UE" :( I'm looking for shure/westone/etymotic size.- vincom2

Quote: The CC51 cord is crap? That's surprising, I thought meelec was known for their excellent cords :( Anyway, I own the M9, M9P (sometimes use for my phone or in situations where I don't want to risk damage), M6 (my sister killed them, but they used to be my favourite pair!)...- vincom2

Deciding between Shure SE215 and Meelectronics A151, and taking price into account...
I listen to similar stuff (I think) and love my A151s. For the price they go at now you really can't go wrong with them. FWIW I listened to a demo pair of SE215s the other day for about 5 mins and didn't like them very much compared to my A151s.- vincom2

Etymotic hf3 Review
Quote: Excellent, thanks! I couldn't really see a situation where I would need the mic when I bought them, but that day the HF3s were only $4 more than the HF5s on amazon, so I figured "why not?" lol.- vincom2

Etymotic hf3 Review
There is no problem wearing this over-the-ear if you don't intend to use the mic, right? Like the mic isn't so heavy that it'll displace the earphone from your ear or anything.- vincom2
