CCA in ear monitors Impressions Thread
Is there a big audible difference between the TRN and Fiio BT adapters? Is battery life similar and how do they compare for waterproofness? Thanks- vic2vic

Tempotec V1 & V1A
Hi, did anybody have any experience with returns under warranty with Tempotec (bought via AliExpress on Tempotec official store)? I bought a V1A on AliExpress (Tempotec official store) and after a few months I got crackling in the 3.5 jack and, much worse, USB-C stopped working a few weeks...- vic2vic

Obscure Chinese DAPs
I actually bought the NW A-55 after reading the great impressions from the head-fi Sony Walkman thread :-) I just upgraded yesterday to FEv2 + J region and I'm blown away by the paring with KZ DQ6. I'm actually looking at the second hand market to see if I can score an older Walkman model (e.g...- vic2vic

Obscure Chinese DAPs
Thanks. I forgot to search in the most obvious place, Penon  (I already ordered from them few times). These are exactly the adapters I was looking for. Thanks for the very detailed information about impedance and distortion correlations. It will be extra useful when I will buy some new...- vic2vic

Obscure Chinese DAPs
I tried with the Senn HD650 and the hiss is gone. And I can easily push to 30/32 volume steps on full headphones. That's basically the hint that pointed me towards the attenuator. Thanks for the suggestion, but the EarBuddy is around $30 and iEMatch is +$100, which would be a bit too much for...- vic2vic

Obscure Chinese DAPs
Thanks baskingshark. Based on JWM-115 reviews, it seems the player is dealing quite well with all type of iems, so I likely received a defective unit :-( I just noticed that in the @cqtek 's review of this player, there is a picture with an audio attenuator sitting next to it, so maybe he also...- vic2vic

Obscure Chinese DAPs
I just got a JWD JWM-115 player, but I believe it has some problems with the headphone out level :-( The output volume for every IEM I've tried (e.g. KZ DQ6, KZ EDX, TRN V20, BLON-05s) is unbelievably high and I can only listen to volume level 1 out of 32 (and 1 is already a bit too high). It...- vic2vic

Tempotec V1 & V1A
Is anybody facing any severe BT stuttering issues, just out of the blue, when connecting to BT IEM/speakers? Songs are dropping off for 1 sec every 5 seconds, so it is almost impossible to listen to anything. I'm owning two V1-A, as I bought a second player to be mainly used for outdoor sports...- vic2vic

Obscure Chinese DAPs
Hi all, I'm a long distance runner and I'm looking for some suggestions on a light, small and resistant DAP, with some good bluetooth performance, mostly in terms of range (player in my pocket should have minimum drop-offs with headphones while running) and SW managing the Bluetooth streaming...- vic2vic

TRN impressions thread
Thanks. It seems it will be better to stick to the TRN V20 for exercise in bad outdoor conditions: decent sound, super light, robust plastic fully closed shell which can stand some hard beating and they cost 10 quids, so not a big deal if I lose or break one of them. My current pair is still...- vic2vic

TRN impressions thread
Is it a risk to use the BA5 for outdoor running (also with rain)? I'm afraid about the external grill letting water flow into the IEM.- vic2vic

OMG, you are totally right. Too many IEMs and too much love for purple color :-) I'll wait for a couple of days for the Ali Anniversary sale and add them in the basket with some other stuff (no idea what I'll buy, but at the end the basket is always full of audio stuff).- vic2vic

I have a purple CCA C10 and I really like their sound. Short question: I'm planning to buy a second pair to be used while running: are the "purple" one still to be preferred to the other colors (due to the different cable) or are there no actual differences on the sound? Thanks- vic2vic

New Hidizs AP200 double DAC Android-based smart music player
Question for @Hidizs Hk : is there any way to disable the whitelist, or will this be an option in a soon to come firmware ? I found a bit pointless to release an Android device and then block the possibility to install applications. Can you please at least set this an option ? Thanks- vic2vic
